Security Groups won’t work after deactivating and reactivating user

This is just another quick note and refers to OnPrem installations. After one of our customers went live, whom we upgraded from NAV2009 to BC25, our colleagues deactivated all users as a precautionary measure and then gradually put the various departments into operation. However, after deactivating and reactivating the users in BC, the security groups no longer worked.

Long story short: Deleting and recreating the security groups in BC was ultimately the solution. Apparently, not all links were restored when the users were reactivated in OnPrem, so that the users no longer had any permissions.

However, all security groups were displayed correctly in the user card. Since the user mappings are fully restored from Entra/Active Directory, this is a real quick fix… but it wasn’t that easy to discover.
